In today's age of beauty and fashion, men and women are seeking ways to eliminate the unsightly varicose veins they tend to get with age, weight and heredity. While vein removal might seem like an option to some, for those that frequently suffer from swollen and painful legs as a result of varicose veins, it is a necessity. In advanced cases, some people can experience leg ulceration, skin breakdown, superficial phlebitis and, in rare instances, bleeding.
There are a multitude of causes that contribute to a patient's inclination to get varicose veins. However, when you suffer from these conditions, one thing is for sure - you want a solution that results in comfort as soon as possible.
In the past, most insurance companies did not provide coverage for varicose vein treatment as they were typically seen as cosmetic and unnecessary. But today, most insurance companies realize that many varicose vein related problems are "medically necessary", and as a result, cover the cost associated with Vein treatment.
At Continental Medical, our vein specialists, and our skilled office staff, work on your behalf to achieve authorization for most procedures which are considered a necessary health concern - including most commonly, endovenous ablation and microphlebectomy.
There are certain procedures that are not covered by insurance, including Sclerotherapy. For this condition, and others that are not covered by insurance, Dr. LoPresti works with his patients to determine the necessary amount of treatment required and customizes a fee that is both reasonable and affordable.
In regards to consulations and evaluations, these are typically covered by insurance. For patients that do not have insurance, consulations and evaluations are charged at reasonable rate without any obligation to proceed with treatment.
At Continental Medical, we offer our patients a variety of payment methods. Please ask our vein specialist about payment options during your consultation. We will be more than glad to help you to determine if your insurance plan covers the cost of your vein treatment.
